Lego soccer sport from 2K namedropped on Korean scores web site

The racing game wound up being Lego 2K Drive, which was formally announced earlier this year and launched in May, but there’s no sign of the football game even though it was supposedly aiming to coincide with last year’s FIFA World Cup.

While 2K hasn’t so much as acknowledged it, new evidence of its existence as been spotted over on a ratings website in Korea, revealing its title as Lego 2K Goooal (yes, with three ‘o’s).

Given it shares the same naming convention as Lego 2K Drive, this practically confirms that the game’s in development at 2K and will be published by Take-Two Interactive.

Its title also means it’s safe to assume that Lego 2K Goooal is some kind of football game as the initial report claimed.

You can view the website, as spotted by Gematsu, for yourself at this link, but it doesn’t reveal anything else besides the title. Although the original report claims that Sackboy: A Big Adventure studio Sumo Digital is the developer.

If the game’s been rated, 2K is likely preparing for a formal announcement and launch in the near future. As a reminder, Lego 2K Drive was unveiled less than a week after screenshots for it leaked online.

This leaves one more Lego 2K game to be announced but there’s no information on that besides it apparently being another sports game.

This isn’t the only rumoured Lego project either. Earlier this year, it was claimed that a new Lego Harry Potter game is in the works at Warner Bros, which used to have exclusive rights to make Lego video games.

Apparently, it did have several more Lego games in development, such as a big Disney crossover and some kind of online shooter with Warner Bros characters, but these wound up being cancelled for whatever reason.
