There’s already one Star Wars strategy game in development, but a second one from a ‘big name studio’ is apparently in the works too.

While yesterday’s Star Wars Day celebrations weren’t without some gaming related treats for fans (more Fortnite skins, a free character for Lego Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga), there was a distinct lack of announcements for anything brand new.

Even after the launch of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, there are still several Star Wars games that have been announced but have never been seen in action, such as Quantic Dream’s Star Wars: Eclipse and whatever Ubisoft is working on.

You can apparently add one more to the list, as another Star Wars game is rumored to be in development and is so far only described as a real-time strategy game from a ‘big name developer.’

This rumor comes courtesy of VGC’s Andy Robinson, but is not a reference to the Star Wars strategy game that’s in the works at Bit Reactor, as a co-production with Star Wars Jedi developer Respawn.

Instead, Robinson stresses that it’s a separate project, as it ‘hasn’t been announced.’

It is extensively assumed that the Bit Reactor technique recreation is a turn-based affair, contemplating the studio was shaped to ‘usher in the way forward for turn-based ways video games’ and was based by key builders from Firaxis’ XCOM sequence.

Robinson describes the technique recreation he is hinting over as a real-time one, though whether or not means one thing like Command & Conquer or a bigger scale title like 2006’s Empire At Warfare is unclear.

As for which ‘massive title developer’ may very well be behind this thriller mission, the listing of outstanding studios with expertise of real-time technique video games is one in brief. The quick assumption can be both Age Of Empires 4 co-developer Relic Leisure or Whole Warfare studio Inventive Meeting.

Perhaps it may very well be Petroglyph Video games, who made Empire At Warfare and lots of of who labored on the unique Command & Conquer, nevertheless it’s a stretch to name them a ‘massive title.’

Blackbird Interactive, who’s made up of ex-Relic builders and made the latest Minecraft Legends, is one other chance and one that’s talked about by title in Robinson’s Twitter trade – however once more, they’re hardly a giant title.

Robinson’s suggestion that you just ‘will not have to attend for much longer’ for the sport may imply an announcement is correct across the nook. Little doubt throughout one of many many not-E3 showcases that had been deliberate for the summer season.
